This museum is located a little to the south of central Ho Chi Minh City, on the river. The museum is a square building, dedicated to presenting the life of the founder of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh. This is largely done by displaying a very large number of photographs, as well as some of his personal belongings, including his journals, fragments of his clothing, and his rubber sandals. Most of the signage is in Vietnamese, little English.

The building was designed in a mix of Vietnamese and French styles, and was originally nicknamed the Dragon House. It was constructed in 1863 as the French customs house for Saigon. Ho Chi Minh passed through here in 1911 on the way to his three decade exile in Europe and America.

Entry is $1. It seems to be popular with locals, also with school children.
