Building 60, now Building 413 was constructed in 1900 as a firehouse to serve Fort Crook. The two-story brick building had a capacity for three vehicles when constructed include a hook and ladder vehicle and two fire carts, as fire fighting vehicles grew in size the building had to be modernized to fit just one vehicle. The building had living quarters above the vehicle area for seven firemen. The building is no longer used as a fire station, the current use is not apparent.
This building is located on an active US Air Force Base. Access to the base is restricted and is easiest accessed by active duty, retired, or reserve service members or while accompanied by an individual in that status. Occasionally there are other times when the base has more open status during the year for various events.
