This is a most impressive sculpture, made entirely from a 1913 Linotype printing press. Throughout its transformation it was called the "Rebirth Project". You can read the story of the transformation, including pictures of it disassembled parts and of the Linotype printing press in its entirety.
The wapiti (elk) stands 7 feet tall. This amazing accomplishment was by artist: Carl Sean McMahon
Linotype Wapiti was part of the 2011 Castlegar Sculpture Walk and winner of the People's Choice Award and is now on permanent display.
