This is Stop "G" on the self-guided walking/driving tour of the Wendover Air Force Base from which the mission to drop the first atomic bomb originated. A brochure detailing the complete tour is available at the Base Museum, 345 S Airport Apron.

Armament and Inspection Building
Although this building is in obvious need of restoration, it has historic significance. As shown on the drawing below, there was originally a security fence around the building, no doubt due to the sensitive nature of the Norden bombsights and weapons stored there.
Designated as building 804, it was constructed in 1943.
Originally a group of buildings, all that remain are buildings #804 and #809, the original tank-house, which is now part of the church building located to the east and slightly north of the armament building.
