After 1.1 miles of trail, at the PA/NY border, the trail merges with the Finger Lakes Trail and Conservation Trail. From there, you can proceed 177 miles north to the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, and potentially join the Bruce Trail in Canada; or you can head east to the Catskills. You won't reach a decision point for more than 40 miles beyond the border, however, as the two trails remain merged until the trail passes the town of Ellicotville, NY.
