Any lean-to built along the Finger Lakes Trail is free on a first come, first served basis. This lean-to location has one more amenity than most: it features a bivoac site (cleared and level) for tent campers.

The lean-to itself will hold at least 6 sleeping bags (2 rows, 3 to a row), and has a fire ring and picnic table immediately accessible. There is an outhouse a modest 100 meters away. The bivoac site is somewhat downhill of the outhouse, and a reliable (but untested and untreated) source of water downhill of that.

The closest access point in Pennsylvania is at N 41° 59.121 W 078° 54.124, 7.2 miles away. The easiest access point in New York is ASP 3 Access Point 4 (N 42° 00.310 W 078° 47.628) in Allegany State Park,
3.2 miles north.

The closest access point in New York State is Coon Run Road, N 42° 00.151 W 078° 49.102 1.3 miles north of the lean-to, but there is also a non-vehicle accessible ("impassible to vehicles") at Wolf Run Road, N 42° 00.372 W 078° 52.022, a mere 2.9 miles south of it.
Number of tent spaces: One

Access to Campsite: on foot via trail from Allegany State Park, NY or Allegany National Forest trailhead, PA

Special Features:
This campsite is special because it is situated on a stretch of trail that connects New York to Pennsylvania along the North Country National Scenic Trail. This stretch of trail is also the terminus of both the Finger Lakes Trail (western end is the PA border) and the Conservation Trail (southern end is the PA border). From here you can through hike west as far as North Dakota, north as far as the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, NY (a short walk along the gorge will connect you to the Bruce Trail in Canada), and east as far as the Catskill Mountains.
