The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has a department of Anthropology, which in turn has a Anthropology Museum. This is located in the Anthro building, on the 3rd and 4th floor. Entry is free and unrestricted, in fact when I wandered in there were no folk present. I was able to walk freely through the display rooms.
The museum is perhaps surprisingly good. There are numerous artefacts from the pre-historical and early historical period of Vietnam. Much of the labelling is in English (as well as Vietnamese and French), plus there are a goodly number of charts and diagrams. However, it is more a collection than a chronological or thematic display. Not so much to learn from, but to see aspects of what one has learnt.
Theme: Vietnamese anthropological history.
