"Windows in Time" is a public art sculpture that honors veterans and their families of the Colorado State Veterans Center at Homelake. The sculpture was designed in six sections by Kevin Shaffer representing Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Family. Each section contains a small obsidian "window" representing a view into someone's life.

The sculpture and time capsule were dedicated on Veterans' Day 2010 with instructions to open the capsule in 50 years. The capsule contains letters, pictures and items from residents, staff and visitors.
