This blue plaque is actually red. It is located at the Tranport Heritage Site that is dedicated to the Lambley Viaduct. The plaque reads:
Lambley Viaduct
Completed in 1852 by the Newcastle & Carlisle Railway and used by Alston Branch trains until 1976.

The viaduct reaches a height of 32 m above the South River Tyne. There are 9 arches with a 17 m span and 7 smaller arches with spans of 6 m. The viaduct was restored in 1995-1996 to be used as a public footpath.
