 Historical Significance: The Oregon Trail was the primary route followed by emigrants headed to Oregon and Northern California.
 Years in use: 40
 How you discovered it: I was traveling south out of Casper on my way to Laramie via Wyoming Highways 220 and 487 when I spotted this Trail marker.
 Why?: The Oregon Trail was one of the major emigration routes west between 1830 and 1870.
 Directions: At the southwest edge of Bessemer Bend on the southeast side of Wyoming Highway 220 at its junction with Bessemer Bend South Road.
