With a population of about 172 individuals, Syracuse, which is in Morgan county in Missouri, is the home to the tallest radio tower in the State, and is tied for the 3rd largest structure in the WORLD!
The tower was built in 2003 for KMOS-TV which is operated by Central Missouri State University, and is 2000 feet tall, weights 1 million pounds and is held together by 18,000 bolts. It is more than 3 times taller than the Gateway Arch.
