In 1997, a replica of a One Room School House was completed and named "Prairie Rose School House". District 27J donated the Student desks and the Teachers desk once used in the school. The bell that once called the students in from recess was also donated.

From the Rocky Mountain News:

The replica is the latest project of the Adams County Historical Society.

"We thought about finding an old schoolhouse and bringing it in, but that can mean a lot of problems,'' said Historical Society member Casey Hayes. ``They usually have dry rot and a leaky roof and nothing is plumb, or level or square. So we decided to build a replica."

The museum is free of charge. Hours may be found at (visit link) .
