This U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark (designated A 25) is located on the Buffalo Main Lighthouse in Buffalo, New York. The lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Buffalo River as it empties into Lake Erie.

The benchmark is set vertically in the stone water table (lip) of the lighthouse, approximatly 2.5 feet above the ground. Additionally, the mark is located almost directly below two plaques set into the lighthouse detailing the rehabilitation of the lighthouse that occured in 1961.

The mark is stamped with the date: 1921.
