This precious memorial is a teleidoscope that uses natural flowers as the object to be viewed. By looking through the tubes with the optics (a ball lens) and turning the flower pot, one is able to enjoy and ever-changing view of color and shape. This feature is found in Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado, USA. There is no longer an admission fee.

This is a variation of a kaleidoscope: it is a teleidoscope which was developed in the 1970s (visit link) . The Brewster Society (in honor of the inventor) may be found at (visit link) . A thorough explanation about the optics of the traditional kaleidoscope may be found at (visit link) .

I took a video that may be found at (visit link) . It took a few moments for my camera to be able to focus through the optical tubes, so please be patient.
Scientific Principle(s) being demonstrated:
Optics that bend light - a ball lens. Reveals that light is made of solid particles and may be manipulated. The teleidoscope was patented in the 1970s and there is software that allows the user to create teleidoscopes.

Briefly explain if the experiment was effective for you. Could it have been better?:
Since optics are my critical to my lifestyle (I have very poor vision, thus wear thick lenses in my glasses), I am intrigued by the fact we can manipulate light to suit our needs.

When is the apparatus/experiment available to the public:
