The Capitol Hill High School was built in 1928 and is still in use today. In front of the school on S.W. 36th Street, two brick pillars four feet tall support a granite slab on which is engraved:

We Will Not Forget the 168 Persons
Who Died April 19, 1995, and We Will
Remember the Survivors

A specific memorial to a former student of the school is shown on a bronze plaque above the Murrah Bombing dedication. It reads:

This Area is Dedicated to the Memory of
Colleen Chandler-Guiles
Who Lost Her Life
April 19, 1995
In the Bombing of the
Alfred P. Murrah Building
in Oklahoma City

Dedicated by Her
Classmates of 1954

The bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 was the most major act of terrorism on U.S. soil at the time. Killing 168 people, it injured over 680, and destroyed or severely damaged dozens of buildings in the downtown Oklahoma City area. Today, on the site, a solemn National Memorial stands as a stark reminder of this senseless act. The website of the nearby bombing museum offers all the details (see below).

NOTE: There shouldn't be any visitation restrictions here as this memorial is about ten feet off the main sidewalk in front of the school, and at least forty or fifty feet north of the school entrance.
