We have one regional Balloon Fest each year in Clovis, CA. Clovis Fest is an annual Summer's End celebration in the City of Clovis - 2012 is the 38th. This year's Balloon Festival was rather small with no more than 7 balloons. We have seen as many as 25 in the past. The Balloon Teams begin setting up early and take off at sunrise. Landings occur up to 5 miles to the northwest. This year one team stayed behind allowing for photo ops and showing off the equipment. Some Balloon pilots have been known to give a free balloon ride to the hardy festival goers that stick around or chase the balloons. Always a great time if just to watch them launch and fly.

In addition to the Balloon Fly-By, Clovis Fest includes a crafts fair, live entertainment and a car show.
