Nakhon Sawan city is found ~150kms north of Bangkok. Overlooking the city to the north is a hill, which has a number of cultural and Buddhist sites, one of these is this wat. It is a new and impressive structure that contains relics of the Buddha. Entry is free, though a small donation is the done thing to do.

At the entrance to the wat is shrine building with a date of construction embedded over the entrance. The sign, in the Thai language, gives the name of the wat and the year of dedication. This is 2552 in the Buddhist Era, which translates to 2009 of the Common Era.
Year of construction: 2552
