Trick Skiers on Pastel Mountains - South Lake Tahoe, CA - Artistically Decorated Utility Boxes on Waymarking.com

Since 2009, a South Lake Tahoe family and a youth art group called the Sphere of Influence have been painting dozens of bland green utility boxes. These artists are using aerosol spray paint for the works.

This utility box is one of a trio on Lake Tahoe Boulevard at the Pioneer Trail turnoff. It features pastel colors and skiers doing tricks. This box is painted on four sides, even a side that is up against a large bush. A snow-covered mountain range wraps around the bottom two feet of the utility box. The sky on all four sides is a myriad of pastel colors soft. Two of the side have an airborne skier doing a trick with the skis in an X position and a third side shows an airborne skier from the side. The four side is just sky with no skier featured.
