The Valentine Weaver house was built in 1876 for Valentine Weaver a businessman a leader in the iron industry in the area. The house was style and designed was inspired from a popular pattern book by A.J. Downing "The Architecture of Country Houses" published in 1851. The style is described as a "Gothic Cottage". The three story brick house has a central projecting section and full width porch. The house feature a steep patterned slate roof with decorative trim on the steep gable ends.

The house is in very good condition and continues to serve as a private residence.
