This is an artistic yet humorous sculpture of a bald Eagle perched on a Hodag tail in downtown Rhinelander WI. It was carved out of a tree that died, and in lieu of having an ugly stump, the homeowner elected to have something quirky that celebrates this town's unique love for a mythical(?) creature known as the Hodag.
The sculpture is located in the parkway of the home at Dahl street and South Baird Ave, northwest of the Oneida County courthouse at Rhinelander WI.
