THE OLD FORD MARKED THE PRINCIPAL
ROUTE INTO BUCKINGHAM. BY 1610
JOHNS SPEED'S MAP SHOW IT WAS TRAVERSED
BY THE SHERRIFS BRIDGE BUILT OF STONE
IT EXTENDED INTO FORD STREET
ALLOWING TRAVELLERS DRY PASSAGE OVER THE GREAT OUSE.
