Ce projet de fresque murale a été initié par l'Association des marchands du Lac-Etchemin dans le cadre d'un programme gouvernemental fédéral mis sur pied afin de souligner l'arrivée du nouveau millénaire. La réalisation de l'œuvre d'une superficie de 1250 pieds carrés (50 pieds de haut par 25 pieds de large) a été confiée à monsieur Marius Mercier, artiste peintre originaire de Sainte-Justine et propriétaire d'une école de peinture à Québec. Frédéric Dion, Benoît Gagnon et Claudine Jacques, trois (3) étudiants en arts, ont accepté de seconder monsieur Mercier dans son travail.
This mural project was initiated by the Association of Merchant du Lac-Etchemin under a federal government program created to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium. Completion of the work with an area of ??1250 square feet (50 feet high by 25 feet wide) was entrusted to Mr. Marius Mercier artist originally from Sainte-Justine and owner of a school of painting in Quebec city. Frédéric Dion,Claudine Jacques and Benoît Gagnon, three (3) arts students, agreed to assist Mr. Mercier in his work.
