This box is next to the village store in Yapton, West Sussex. A lady who saw me photographing it told me, when I explained that it was interesting because it is Victorian, that there had been an article about it in the local press or newsletter recently.

According to Wikipedia: "There is a well-known joke in Sussex: "Were you born in Yapton?" This question is asked when someone has forgotten to close a door.
