The Fayette County Courthouse has been around at this site since the late 1800's with a addition (where the public enters now), was built in 1928-1930. Over the years, several small-scale renovations took place, starting with security improvements, fire alarm upgrades, plumbing upgrades, and moving some offices out of the basement of the courthouse.
