The Fuel Talk is an abstract sculpture of a flame made from a recycled jet fuel tank. It is highly polished to a reflective surface and has cutout sections where dichroic glass adds to the look of being a flame.

The Fuel Tank is a 20 foot high sculpture made from an aluminum, mirror-polished recycled jet fuel tank and pieces of dichroic glass. It suggests an abstract flame. The Fuel Tank was created by Gordon Huether.

Dichroic glass is highly light sensitive and shifts in color depending on the angle of viewing and direction of light. Through the day, sunlight interacts with the glass to create moving patterns of colored light across the ground, while at night it is lit from within.

The sculpture is located in front of Fire Station 17 in San Jose, California. The sculpture can be seen in Google Street View.
