In Ottawa County Oklahoma are a few old stretches of the original roadbed of Route 66 from the 1920s. These 9-foot segments of the original pavement are narrow, with white curbs. The old highways of the 1920s were not the straight-line ribbons of today. They meandered and zig-zagged, and this stretch is no different. Come enjoy a glimpse of the original Mother Road, and be grateful for today's reflective paint, wider lanes, reflective buttons, wide shoulders, and other modern safety amenities!
