Purchased by Milton Keynes Development Corporation, sponsored by Lloyds Bank and donated to Milton Keynes Council

"Black Horse is sited outside Lloyds Bank, echoing the logo of the bank. Elisabeth Frink (1930-1993) gained recognition in the early 1950s, one of a new generation of sculptors, including Eduardo Paolozzi, who used animal and human forms to express the anguish of the post-war period. During her career she undertook many commissions for public sites across the country including bronzes of horses, birds, pigs and dogs, society portraits and church commissions. She was awarded the CBE in 1968 and the DBE in 1982". Text Source: (visit link)
