This Iron Smelter has been started it's work in 1813. Naturally not in this nowadays form. Under the operating there was many upgrade in the smelter until 1867 when it has been finised it's work.
The main constructor of the smelter was Frigyes Fazola.
It's basic size basic is 9.5 × 8.5 meters, built of natural stone.
The furnace height is 11.4 meters, 22 cubic meters in volume.
The average daily production was 1300 kilograms.
You can reach the place from Lillafüred by car (approximately 10 minutes)or turistical railway.
