Two of the area's most interesting historical sites are included in the park. Mansker's Station reconstructed fortified settlement is considered to be one of the most historically accurate in the nation. The Bowen Plantation House is the region’s first brick structure, still standing and open for tours. Also at the park are a large playground, picnic shelters and volleyball court.
