This pre-visible gasoline pump closely matches a 1920's Gilbert and Barker Model-65 gasoline pump. The oval red pump has a circular dial and a gauge on the left side and a crank on the right. The Mobilgas Pegasus logo appears on the milk white globe at the top and on the oval body of the gasoline pump. The initials GB can be seen where the hose attaches to the pump.
In 1912, Gilbert and Barker Company relocated to a factory in West Springfield, MA and began to make measuring and visible gasoline pumps. The private house is located between 37 and 43 Mechanic Street in a residential area of Shelburne Falls.
