Römerhuis, Venlo - Renaissance Architecture on Waymarking.com

It is performed with a staircase façade in brick and small ornamental turrets; only exception are some cornerstones on the ground floor and the door frame. It was restored in the old style in 1938 and recovered from the war damage in 1950. Named after the founders, is the property of the Association since 1927 Hendrick de Keyser. The name "Romerhuis" recalls Venlo magistrates family from the seventeenth century.

Het is in baksteen uitgevoerd met een trapgevel en kleine siertorentjes; enige uitzondering vormen enkele hoekstenen op de begane grond en de deuromlijsting. Het werd in oude stijl gerestaureerd in 1938 en hersteld van de oorlogsschade in 1950. Vernoemd naar de stichters, is het sinds 1927 eigendom van de Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser. De naam "Romerhuis" herinnert aan de Venlose magistratenfamilie uit de zeventiende eeuw.
