This bridge over the Elbow River was built in 1914. It connected the Canadian Northern Railway's railyards at Lindsay Park to their new station on the north side of the river. That station is now (2023) the administration offices of Alberta Ballet.
Although rails are still on the bridge, it no longer serves as a railway bridge. Wooden planking and decorative lighting have been added and it is now an important part of Calgary's extensive network of pedestrian and cycling pathways.
