This is a monument dedicated to the winegrowers of Stuttgart, Germany, baden-Württemberg. It is also a momorial for the 700th anniversary of the city of Stuttgart in 1929.
The monument shows a woman with child and a small dog. She is called 'Winzerliesel' (Winegrower Liesel).
The woman is on the way home from working in the wineyard.
The sculpture is life-sized.
The sculture is made of bronze. It stands on a small stone basement.
On the basement is an inscription of a poem.
'Das Tagewerk, es ist vollbracht, nun schreitest, Winzerliesel, du, gesegnet und im Abendfrieden der Heimat trautem Hüttlein zu.'
The sculpture is a part of a monument for the 700th anniversery of the city of Stuttgart in 1929. The monument was a donation of the local garden club 'Grundbesitzerverein Azenberg Feuerbacherheide e.V.'. It was created by Emil Kiemlen.
