Originally built in 1913 as a station on the National Transcontinental Railway (NTR). As this came at the end of the heyday of railways, by the time the NTR was built, the Grand Trunk reneged on its part in the deal to assume ownership after construction. The line was assumed by Canadian Government Railways (CGR), which went on to create Canadian National (CN) in 1918.

Eventually this line was taken over by Ontario Northland (ON).

In the 1950s, the area was fairly active due to a Canadian Forces Radar Station on the Pine Tree Line, but eventually it closed and decline in passenger service led to closure in the 1990s.

While the exterior has been drastically changed in appearance due to the addition of new siding when converted to its present use as a credit union, the original shape remains.
