According to the Smithsonian web page, this sculpture is: "Abstract depiction of a flame (in cast bronze) with rays of light (in fabricated stainless steel) protruding the flames. Set on a granite trapizodal base atop a hexagonal concrete base." source: (visit link)

The statue may be seen if one goes up the driveway to the parking lot in back of the building. As one walks on the sidewalk toward the synagogue from the parking area, there is a low wall which opens into a courtyard where the sculpture is displayed. Temple Beth Or is located at 2246 Narrow Lane Road in Montgomery, AL. Their web site has no information about the sculpture or its dedication. The Smithsonian information has 1998.
