We hiked to the top of Mt washington, a climb of about 1300 ft through alpine meadows, winter ski runs, to enjoy the view. Most take the scenic lift that operates during the summer. They miss the alpine flowers in the meadows. As you approach the summit at 5220 ft, or get off the lift you see an interesting group of inukshuks, perhaps 100 in total. These are generally small and primative creations by tourists waiting to take the lift done. Never the less, it is a reminder of this Canadian icon.
