There are now Terminals A and a new Terminal B. North of I-5, before crossing into Yolo Co. They claim it is only 11 miles out of the city. The airport is operated by the County of Sacramento. It has spent beaucoup -- $.$$$,$$$. on new Art in Public Places.
The new terminal B is awesome, literally; three stories almost places one at a level to see something. The parking lot is a six story
with maximum daily fee of $27. There is a free (celphone)area to the south for folks meeting travelers. Other parking is $2/ half hour and will fry your tires. Car Rentals are available and a shuttle service to move people. There is wifi in the terminal. Place to send mail. The terminal is divided into pre security access, and post security access. AM radio 540 (WNIG)gives details about parking as one approaches the airport. Free parking/waiting area, at the south end has a 3 hour maximum and buses are not always available.
Aeromexico, Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Horizon, Southwest?, United, JetBlue have ticketing and fly from here.

Elevation here is 23 feet. The runway is 8,600 feet.
