This gigantic Louie the Lumberjack is at the center of Northern Arizona University, on the east side of the Walkup Skydome. A second lumberjack is located inside the dome, visible during athletic events. The tall, broad-shouldered, full-bearded muscular lumberjack outside the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome is wearing blue pants, yellow shirt, and a red bandana. He holds an axe with both hands.
NAU's mascot is Louie the Lumberjack, with school colors Navy and Seafoam Green. The school was founded in 1899, with approximately 25,000 students enrolled.
Although parking may be tricky during school hours, if you visit Louie on non-school days you will find plenty of parking available around the Dome.
