Located on the north side of the Gallup Courthouse plaza, this abstract sculpture consists of two tall stone pieces with a small circular green glass suspended between them at the very top (it catches the sun). In front of the tall columns are several various shaped natural stones. Sun Daggers is placed on the steps leading to the beautiful courtyard in front of the courthouse.

The Sun Daggers look North to Chaco Canyon where the sun determines the time and length of the growing season for Native Americans. As the sun rises in the east and sets in the west it casts a shadow and marks historical events that happened in Gallup, New Mexico
