Established in 1905 when Oklahoma was still Indian Territory, First Presbyterian's first church was built in 1907. (The original 1907 cornerstone can be seen in front of the present church building.) The Church grew over the years and so did the church building. By 1930 the congregation had grown to over 800 members and the Church was involved in a multitude of outreach programs.
In the late 1960's, still worshiping in the much modified and enlarged, though still original building, the congregation decide to raze the old church building and build a new one on the same downtown site it had occupied since 1905. In 1970 the new building was dedicated, and is still being used today. Source
