Das Kastell Rückingen liegt am Obergermanisch-Raetischen Limes, am südöstlichen Ende der Wetterau an der Kinzig. Der Limes verläuft 350 Meter östlich annähernd in Nord-Süd-Richtung, das Kastell war mit seinem Haupttor nach ONO auf diesen ausgerichtet. In dem Steinkastell von 2,5 ha Größe (180 m x 140 m), das um 120 n. Chr. errichtet wurde, war die "Cohors III Dalmatarum pia fidelis" stationiert. Die Zivilbevölkerung siedelte sich in einem Lagerdorf (Vicus) nördlich und westlich des Kastells an. Kastell und Siedlung sind in den Wirren des 3. Jahrhunderts mit der Aufgabe des Limes geräumt oder zerstört worden.
Vom Kastell selber ist nichts mehr zu sehen, das Areal ist heute mit Hochhäusern überbaut. Das ehemalige Lagerdorf ist mit Wohnhäusern und einem Gewerbegebiet überbaut.
Die Fundamentmauern des Bades sind fast alle konserviert worden und können besichtigt werden. Informationstafeln informieren über das Kastell Rückingen, die Bäder und den Limes.

The Castrum Rückingen is located on the Upper Germanic Limes, at the south-eastern end of the Wetterau close to the Kinzig. The limes runs 350 meters east in approximately north-south direction, the castrum was aligned on this with its main gate to ENE. In the stone fort of 2.5 ha (180 m x 140 m), built around 120 AD, the "Cohors III Dalmatarum pia fidelis" was stationed. The civilian population settled in a camp village (vicus) to the north and west of the fort. Fort and settlement were cleared or destroyed while abandoning the Limes during the 3rd Century.
From the castrum itself is nothing more to see, the area is now built over with residential buildings. The former camp village is built over with houses and a commercial area.
Almost all of the foundation walls of the bathroom have been preserved and can be visited. Information boards provide information about the castrum Rückingen, the baths and the Limes.
