From the Smithsonian AIC Description:
A cutout of an airplane depicted as an animal wearing a hat with the letter "M" on it. There are five circular windows, four along the body of the plane each contain a profile of a passenger's head, and the fifth window is at the head of the plane and contains a profile of the pilot. The tail and side wings of the plane are each adorned with a cutout of a star. The sculpture is mounted at the top of a pole which is set in a rectangular concrete base. The sculpture is lit at night.
