The sundial panels are 2 m high and 1.2 m wide, The dials are unique. Each dial has its own complexity.
The south facing sundial has solar time lines (Temps Vertader) except for the section between the declination lines. Here the lines are corrected to mean clock time with EQT curve and longitude shift (Temps Mitja del Fos) using the nodus at the gnomon tip and the declination lines. “Estiu I Tardor” is Catalan for “Summer and Fall”
The lower section provides information to use the dial as a moon dial
This provides the time shift for moon phases.
The west facing sundial also has solar time lines (Temps Vertader) from the polar gnomon except for the section between the declination lines. Here the lines are corrected to mean clock time with EQT curve and longitude shift (Temps Mitja del Fus) using the nodus at the gnomon tip and the declination lines.
"Hiver I Primavera" is Catalan for "Winter and Spring"
Motto refers to wind "Potent: on land bathed in rain again".
The east facing dial is symmetrical with west facing sundial. It is also corrected for clock time for fall and winter. The motto refers to the wind "Llevant I Xaloc: South and east: just three days".
The north facing dial shows early morning and late evening hours near the summer solstice only, spring and summer. This is local solar time only. Lines across declination lines show times of sunrise and sunset
The table gives an explanation of the dials and the time corrections. The motto refers to the north wind “Tramuntana: the sea is calm”
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
