The Old Santa Barbara Mission is the only California Mission with two identical bell towers on either corner of the Mission Church.

The bells at the Santa Barbara Mission sound daily at 6AM, 12PM and 6PM. There are 3 sets of 3 slow chimes followed by a pause and then 26 fast chimes all in a row, for a total of 35.

Four bells are visible in the forward facing bell housings, with other bells on the sides for a total of eleven bells. The front bell bell on the lower right produces much of the sound heard.
