"The unique building at 510 Main Street was Frisco's first post office. The first cabins were built in the late 1800s by Louis Wildhack who added a store and remodeled post office in 1914. Wildhack brought the lumber for the large home now attached to the cabins down from the Admiral Mine in Ten Mile Canyon in the l920s. Wildhack retired in 1935 and succeeding owners kept the post office. In 1946, new owners the Robert Foote's renovated the place. 510 Main Street remained the post office until 1966. For many many years, this was the place to meet, exchange news and gossip while waiting for the mail. Helen (Mrs. Robert) Foote still resides there." (from ( visit link) ) The store is now called Foote's Rest Sweet Shop, Est. 1996. It was closed when I walked past, so I was not able to get photos inside.
