Note: the name of this Waymark is taken from the NRHP website as required. That name is in error, it is not "Theresa", it is "Teresa". See nomination form cited below and the Church website link.

Red brick Romanesque Revival style church with towers on each side of its front facade. The structure is 138 feet by 48 feet. The two towers are of differing heights, the right side tower stands115 feet high, while the left tower with a smaller cross section, is 70 feet high.

Constructed in 1910-1911, it was designed by Emmanuel Masqueray, St Paul, Minnesota architect who designed a number of cathedrals and parish churches for the Catholic Church in the Midwest and plains. Masqueray delivered the plans in March 1910 and the cornerstone was laid in the following month of April. Harry I. Ellis Construction of Wichita built the church, which was dedicated in May of 1911.

In 1975 the building was renovated, with the roof being repaired, installation of gutters, downspouts and snowguards; cleaning, tuck-pointing and waterproofing the bricks. Other work included releading and sealing stain glass windows, restoration of the statues and replacement of the pews. St, Teresa's continues to maintain a high degree of architectural integrity and is an important example of an ecclesiastical interpretation of the Romanesque Revival in Kansas. Source
