This impressive monument can be found in a little park not far from the main touristic area of Kiev, in front of the monasteries complex of Lavra and Walking distance from Mother Ukraine and its secondary monuments.
Unfortunately I can't read Russian, so I couldn't extract the whole meaning of the plate, but it's definitely a monument to the men involved in Afghanistan War. Ironically there was a fellow, probably a homeless, who looked exactly like a veteran, the way they are depicted in movies and so, the way we imagine them.
Some fresh flowers were dropped by the monument.
As a curiosity, this was the monument which inspired the creation of category in first place.
