Guest book in a beautifully restored and very grand early 1900's theater.

The guest book is in the lobby of the theater. The theater opened in 1907, featuring live performances until 1925 when it was converted into a movie theater. Several years later it was refitted to show "talkies", and showed movies until the mid 1970's. Since then it has been restored to much of its original splendor.
It is open for tours during the day, and either self guided, or guided tours are available. It is an awesome place where you can see what the gilded age looked like in a small Kansas town when the town's wealthy banker went all out to build a theater named after himself. Well worth a stop if you are in the area, and very inexpensive also.
