CB&Q Caboose #13744 - Edmond, OK - Train Cabooses on Waymarking.com

CB&Q #13744 is located in the front yard of a residence. It is not possible to approach the caboose, but it can be viewed from the driveway, outside the gate. The residence is on the north side of Memorial Road, between Post and Hiwassee.

This is a wood-sided standard cupola caboose, painted red. It has small double-hung windows along the side with a four-step wood stairway leading up to the caboose stairs. The windows are covered from the inside and it is difficult to tell whether this caboose is used in some way, or just for display.

NOTE: We attempted to located another caboose (AT&SF #999555) approximately nine miles southwest, but were unable to locate it. The only directions were listed as "Near Eastern and Wilshire." This intersection is unremarkable, and primarily rural residential. We drove a half-mile in all four directions, but could not spot the caboose. It is likely that it, too, is on the property of a private residence, and hidden from view by tree cover.
