Seriously, when the tide is out it is well and truly out leaving vast swathes of muddy/sand beach. The tide does come all the way in for about 30 minutes, blink and you will miss it.

Also a marvellous vista of Blackpool to the north is available as well as the end of the pier which of course only extends to about one third of the way to the sea – and they have a tram service to save the legs, that’s how long it is!

You’ll need twenty pence to use this coin-op telescope.

Curiously, the road the telescope is located on is shown as Marine Drive on some maps and 62 on Google Earth.
Cost to Operate: 20p (UK)

Primary Vista: The sea

Number of devices at the site: 1

Other Vistas at the location:
Blackpool
